On May 9, 2019, we hosted a very special ‘Mother’s Day’ Styling Workshop in aid of World Vision and their assistance to the communities affected by Cyclone Idai, which has caused devastation across Mozambique.
Thanks to the many customers who attended these Styling Workshops around Australia and New Zealand, Blue Illusion was able to donate over $25,000 proving once again that great things can be achieved when communities come together to strive for the happiness, health and wellbeing of people throughout the world.
As a result of your generosity and participation in the event, we are able to share with you the news of how the funds raised are assisting those in need in Mozambique.
The money raised has contributed to distribution of food and non-food items to thousands of people affected by the Cyclone. Even in this past week, World Vision distributed food packs, blankets, water sanitation and hygiene kits to another 1,735 households. Now a total of 2,745 households have been reached so far and the World Vision emergency response team is on the ground now working to reach even more affected households.
The funds will meet the immediate life-saving needs of thousands of people affected by Cyclone Idai through the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene facilities and promotion of information to reduce the risk of WASH related diseases.
World Vision has also been able to establish multipurpose Child Friendly and Temporary Learning Spaces to enhance child protection and enable children to continue learning.

Community is one of Blue Illusion’s key business pillars and it is so important to the team at Blue Illusion. Helping the community is one of the most rewarding parts of owning a business. For myself and all of our staff, the money we raise for charity is something that makes us happy and gives our work added purpose.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in this Styling Workshop on behalf of World Vision and look forward to inviting you to our next charity styling event supporting Bali Life on Thursday 25th July. To RSVP click here.
