Describing herself as the world’s oldest teenager, 97 year old fashion icon, Iris Apfel, is our A Life In Colour Campaign Ambassador. 

Iris has acted as a stylist for the wives of nine US presidents, she is a face of MAC Cosmetics and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York created a show around Iris’ fashion collection.

What better woman to select for our A Life in Colour campaign. Iris is famous for living a wonderfully colourful life and her passion and bold use of colour is world-renowned.

Iris herself says “I never met a colour I didn’t like” and “Let's face it, life can be dull; you might as well have a little fun with colour when you dress."

The images for our A Life in Colour campaign were taken at Iris’ home in New York and Iris was free to mix and match our Blue Illusion pieces with her own accessories.

Iris has been a long time fan of the Blue Illusion Bengajean Skinny Leg. Iris says she owns every kind of jeans you can imagine, but the Bengajean is her favourite.

“The Bengajean are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever worn - they fit so well,” says Iris.

Iris was one of the first women in America to wear denim jeans and tried repeatedly to get a pair of workman’s jeans in her size. Finally the frustrated store keeper found her a men’s size small pair and Iris accessorised these in her own unique fashion.

Of course jeans have come a long way over the decades and Iris thinks the care and attention we put into the manufacture of our Bengajean make them the best in the world.

In the photo shoot, Iris also wore our new Blossom Pink Trench Coat and Paris Scenic Print Tee with her own oversized bangles and chunky necklace. You can accessorise this look with our newest selection of multi-stranded statement necklaces with handbag to match.
