Linen clothing is stylish, trendy and naturally sustainable
Our pure French linen is made from sustainable flax, combining timeless elegance with care for our natural world. Linen is naturally skin-friendly, making this versatile fibre a must-have addition to any wardrobe through every season.
Is linen a natural fabric?
Linen is produced from the flax plant, meaning it’s an all-natural material. The production method is sustainable, utilising the whole plant, while crop production uses less water than fabrics such as cotton. Linen is naturally delicate on skin, making it appropriate for those with allergies or sensitivities.
Is linen okay for eczema?
People with skin sensitivities such as eczema may be troubled by synthetic materials like polyester and coarse fibres such as wool. Softer and more breathable natural fabrics like linen are delicate on the skin, and as such are often appropriate for those with conditions like eczema.
What is linen made from?
An all-natural fabric, linen is made entirely of the flax plant. The cellulose fibres of the plant’s stalks are used to produce the fabric, using a technique that dates back tens of thousands of years. Through a process of drying and separating the plant’s natural fibres, linen is produced that can then be spun into textiles. Linen naturally retains a range of earthy colours ranging from creamy whites to tan to grey.
Fit Advice for Linen Clothing
Linen is known as a versatile and comfortable fabric, and is often worn in a loose-fitting, quintessentially French style. Leaving some room creates a light and relaxed fit, though linen clothing should never be baggy or appear ill-fitting. How to Care for and Wash Linen Clothing?
As a light, natural fibre, linen is best washed gently in cool water with a mild detergent. Linen is also prone to creasing, so we recommend lightly steam-pressing your linen garments while still slightly damp. To store, hang your linen clothing in a cool, dry place.

Does Linen Stretch?
Linen is a relatively sturdy fabric and tends to resist stretching. You may notice some slight shrinking when washed or dried at high temperatures, but otherwise linen will keep its shape. When selecting a linen garment, pick a fit that suits your style and preference - you don’t need to worry about stretching.
